What can I say? Idles! They’ve done it again. I keep wondering if they are going to run out of steam. They are fast becoming my favourite band.

People are noticing Idles, and not everyone likes what they see (but I think most do). Critics will criticize. That’s okay though, they don’t seem to show any signs of slowing in the face of resistance. In fact, resistance seems to be part of their thing.

They have a message worth sharing. One that they have been blasting since their first album. Only on Ultra Mono, that message is a little more polished, a little more directed at political targets, and a lot more inclusive. They are mostly blunt, with brief glimpses of sillyness and they are hammering home ideas of love, acceptance and togetherness at maximum volume.
