The songs on GINNY’s EP fit in a long line of traditional country twang of the likes of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Townes Van Zandt. Songs of heartbreak and love lost are delivered through a haunting reverberation that simultaneously feels both classic and fresh. I was lucky enough to catch the EP release at the Concorde Motel in Ottawa, and if you get a chance to catch this band live, I highly recommend doing so. The EP is really good, but these songs were meant to be delivered live. Check it out here.
