The Sea, the second full length from Ukraine’s Somali Yacht Club, perfectly resembles it’s namesake. It’s beautifully wide open and spacious, inviting listeners to close their eyes and lose themselves at sea. The sonic landscape rises and falls so calmly that it’s almost hard to notice that it’s always building up to occasional outbursts of fuzzy metal that packs all the fury and violence of a storm at sea. These storms take you by surprise and whip you around before setting you back into the calm vast waters, unscathed if you are lucky enough.
