This comp makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in that nostalgic sort of way. It’s put out by Yeah Right! records and features a few bands that I already knew and followed and introduced me to a slew of bands that I’m about to follow. Listening this this felt like I was 16 again and discovering the limitlessness of punk from all the label comps that I was stumbling upon. It was eye-opening exciting times.
Now many years later, it’s exciting music for uncertain times. Black Lives Matter, the comp and more importantly the movement are standing in the face of evil and injustice and just by listening you can be doing something.
